The deadline for opting out of the Math assessment is April 27 and Science is May 1. If you opt out and your child is not testing, you can choose to keep your child home until 10:30am on the testing day, or send them into school for quiet desk work/reading.

Manorhaven Garden, Volunteers Needed!: The Manorhaven Garden is back in full swing, and parent volunteers are needed as classes start visiting again this spring! Two parent volunteers will be allowed to join each class (sessions are 30-minutes, one class at a time). Two activities will be conducted simultaneously to ensure that there are only 10 students and one adult in the garden itself at any time. Parents will be required to sign a waiver in advance, maintain six-foot distance and stay masked at all times. School staff will be present to oversee students and help enforce social distancing. If you are interested in joining the garden committee or helping out with student sessions, contact Liz Sobel.

NYS Updated Travel Guidance: Please continue to adhere to all NYS Department of Health's travel guidelines and practice COVID safety precautions. NYS has modified travel restrictions; students who travelled domestically no longer need to quarantine if they feel well and are not exhibiting any symptoms. International travelers must continue to follow all travel guidance and requirements, including a quarantine period. If your family is required to quarantine due to travel, or if anyone in your household is awaiting COVID test results, you may request livestreaming for your child. Siblings of children who are awaiting Covid test results are also eligible to livestream. Please provide at least 24-hours notice for livestream requests. All family health updates, livestream requests and questions about school protocols should be directed to Dr. Cohen.  Please see Dr. Allen's district communication on the update to the policy HERE (en Español).
